Dr. Jaya has been a dentist for close to 3 decades , enjoying all aspects of restorative dentistry with special interest in Endodontics. She was contemplating a career as a professional pianist having won the opportunity of a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music but was persuaded by her parents that dentistry was merely tinkling on a different type of ivory keys. Having obtained sufficient A levels grades, she managed to defer her place at the Royal London Hospital Medical college at Whitechapel, United Kingdom for a year during which she studied at the RAM, obtained her diploma and then went on to dentistry with no regrets.
Most of her happy memories as a dentist centre on the relationship she has built with her patients and their children. She pays special attention to each patient, being mindful that they are each unique and require different care throughout the treatment. She hopes to see the regeneration of human teeth becoming commonplace before bowing out of the dental industry.
Dr. Jaya has 3 lovely children - a son, daughter and son-in-law. In her free time, she loves to read thrillers and play Bach preludes and fugues.
